EDUCATIONAL BURSARIES

Dartington Cattle Breeding Trust supports Livestock Farming in Devon and Cornwall through Educational Bursaries, which are awarded to those intending to either be involved directly with Livestock Production or working in an ancillary profession that supports Livestock Farming.

A limited number of bursaries are available for suitable students, with a lifetime limit of £4,000 per student.  These will be awarded on merit and will take into account the educational level of the course being studied and number of applications received in each year.  Awards are made at the sole discretion of Trustees; whose decision is final.

Students may apply for an educational bursary annually, as long as all of the eligibility criteria are met.

Please note that a completed application form, but without references, is required for each successive year.

The Trust is unable to award educational bursaries to students on their industrial placement year.

With an ever-increasing number of applicants and limited resources, the Trust’s priority is to support Degree level students.  Applications are welcome from Extended Diploma students, but funds will be allocated to First Degree and Foundation Degree applicants initially and any surplus thereafter to Extended Diploma applicants.
