Vocational Training

In 2021, the Trustees of the Dartington Cattle Breeding Trust embarked on a new avenue of grant funding with the following clear intention:

"To encourage continued learning to enhance career progression, health & safety and keep up to date with current government legislation"

DCBT have allocated funding to two Training Providers:

Vocational training courses are organised through the Training Providers and the administration of funding is also undertaken by them.

To be eligible for the vocational training, you must live in Devon or Cornwall.  Although the courses are administered by the Young Farmers Clubs, there is no age restriction for course attendance.

The type and number of courses available are extensive.  The Trust's priority is the livestock sector of the agricultural industry.

The following course titles are just a few of those which are suitable for funding:

For more information on the courses available, please contact the Training Providers as detailed above.

Another source of funding for Vocational Training is through the Devon Agricultural Rural Training Trust (DARTT).  For more information, please visit their website, www.darttrust.org.uk.
